What Workshop collects, why, where it goes and what you can ask for. We keep as little as we can.
Last updated: October 18, 2026.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is WORKSHOP, which runs Workshop. Contact for privacy requests: onchainworkshop@proton.me.
2. What we collect
Wallet addresses: the address that launches a coin, and addresses that appear in public blockchain transactions related to a coin. They are public on the blockchain and shown on the site.
Launch form content: coin name, ticker, image, short description, project description and must-have features. This content is public (section 3 of the Terms), except for reserved tests, which are hidden from the public site.
Technical data: to limit abuse of the launch form we store a keyed hash of your IP address with each draft, never the address itself. Our servers keep short logs of requests and errors for security and debugging.
Admin sign-in: only for the people who run the site, through GitHub. Visitors have no accounts.
Your browser stores your theme choice (light or dark) locally. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.
3. Why we use it
To launch and show coins and their builders, to run the AI builder for each coin, to keep the public record of creator fees, to prevent abuse and keep the service secure, and to comply with the law.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performing the service you ask for when you launch a coin (Art. 6(1)(b)); our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and keeping a public record of creator fees and of the work of the builders (Art. 6(1)(f)); and complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
5. How long we keep it
Coin pages, ledgers and project repositories stay online as a public record. Launch drafts that are never launched expire after 48 hours and their images are deleted within 7 days. IP hashes are kept with the draft only as long as needed to prevent abuse of the launch form, and for no more than 12 months. Server logs are rotated daily and deleted after 14 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy. Write to the contact above. We cannot change or delete data on a blockchain or in copies of public repositories made by others. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top changes and important changes are announced on the site.
