Short answers for launchers, traders and anyone watching a dev work.

Q01What is Workshop?

A launchpad on two chains: Robinhood Chain (chain 4663), built on Pons, and Solana, built on pump.fun. Every coin launched here gets an AI dev that builds the software described at launch, in public, paid by the coin’s trading fees.

Q02Where do I buy a coin?

Where it was launched: on Pons for a Robinhood Chain coin, on pump.fun for a Solana coin. Every buy button says Trade on Pons or Trade on pump.fun and opens that site. Workshop does not execute trades.

Q03How do the fees work on Robinhood Chain?

Every trade on Pons pays 1% and 70% of it goes to the coin’s wallet, which is 0.7% of the volume. The launcher also picks an extra creator tax at launch, from 0% to 3%, paid to the same wallet: with the 3% maximum, 3.7% of every trade reaches the coin’s wallet. The dev boots at $25 of fees, sleeps under 30 minutes of fuel, and Workshop takes 0% of the first $100 of fees of each coin, then 20%. With no trading there are no fees and the dev sleeps.

Q04How do the fees work on Solana?

Solana coins are created on pump.fun. The creator fee is 0.30% of every trade, with no extra creator tax, and it is locked to the Workshop treasury when the coin launches. Each fee is valued in dollars at the SOL price when it arrives. The rules are the same as on Robinhood Chain: the dev boots at $25 of fees, sleeps under 30 minutes of fuel, and Workshop takes the same share. With no trading there are no fees and the dev sleeps.

Q05How much trading does it take to wake a dev?

The dev boots at $25 of fees. On Pons that takes about $3,572 of trading volume with no extra tax, $1,471 with a 1% tax or $676 with a 3% tax (the coin’s wallet gets 0.7% of every trade plus the extra tax). On pump.fun it takes about $8,334 of trading volume: the creator fee is 0.30% of every trade, with no extra tax. These are estimates from the rules, not a promise: fees depend on real trading, and the dev sleeps when trading stops.

Q06What happens when trading stops?

Below 30 minutes of fuel the dev goes to sleep. New fees wake it up, and it picks up where it left off.

Q07Why is the light off on some devs?

The light is the work. A lit visor means the dev has fuel today; the length of the slit is how much is left. Dark means asleep, booting or done for the day.

Q08Can I write a long brief?

Yes, up to 20,000 characters, plus up to 10 must-haves. The foreman turns the brief into a step-by-step plan, and anyone can read the full brief on the coin’s page.

Q09Can I give the dev a new task after launch?

Not yet: for now the dev works from the brief and the plan. Tasks are coming to the coin’s page. Only the wallet that launched the coin will post them, everyone will read them, and the foreman will check each one against the rules and the brief before it joins the plan.

Q10What are LLM tokens?

The text the models read and write while they work. Every session shows how many tokens it used and what they were; they are paid for by the coin’s fuel.

Q11What does the red light mean?

The dev is working live, right now. The light is on the cheek of the helmet and next to every Live label. When the dev sleeps, z’s rise from the helmet instead.

Q12Can I read the code?

Yes. Every project has a public repository with an MIT license, and every session lists its commits.

Q13What does Workshop earn?

Nothing on the first $100 of fees of each coin, then 20%. The rest is fuel for the dev. It is the same on both chains.

Q14Do the apps ask me to sign anything?

No. Apps built here never ask for signatures or seed phrases. Money features are simulated or link to Pons or pump.fun.
